Even at my peak fandom I'd have thought that's stupid. And now I think destroying that fake grave would have been an added benefit of the cable.

I was thinking of the store at first lmao

I think that variety would be cool to have.

Okay but what if the bear is a Lemmy user?

[–] MousePotatoDoesStuff@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'm not arguing that. I'm arguing that because they insist on continuing their colonialism, their problems with migrants in Ceuta are entirely self-inflicted.

So it's a self-inflicted problem for keeping that conquered territory to this day?

Quick question.

Why is Ceuta part of Spain to begin with?

Yeah, and also things one can do that have some form of measurable impact, even if incremental.

How do we unentangle corruption from political office?

[–] MousePotatoDoesStuff@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

"Eradicate" through proper education, right?

I think being overexposed to so many issues around the world is making people numb - especially when they don't know what to do about it.

(There may be other factors - for example, less densely populated areas being more open because there's more time per person to go around or something like that - but I think overexposure is a big bit of it).

We need more ways to act rather than just react.

For example, here's a long Covid research fundraiser link

FINAL UPDATE: I have joined PieFed under the same username I used on Lemmy. Just commented on this post

UPDATE: I checked my mail and there were six verification emails. I clicked the latest one and it seems to have worked. So the email is working, but delayed somewhat.

EDIT: Some details

  • The instance I'm trying to join is piefed.social
  • The website is the same (https://piefed.social/auth)
  • I am using a permanent email (not throwaway)
  • I am not using a VPN

I tried to create an account, but my confirmation email isn't coming through no matter how much I click "resend" (and it shows "email sent" but it never seems to reach my mailbox). I checked the spam filter, mobile app, everything.

Is the instance verification down or something?

There is a distinct lack of random functions for vectors, so I decided to add some to the Mouse Potato Utils Plugin.

However, I'm not sure whether I should make the right end of the range inclusive (make it a maximum) or exclusive (like the range() function) when it comes to integer vectors.

I'll make it inclusive for now, but what do you think?

gotta post this before I break anything with the upgrade :P (it probably won't, but better safe than sorry)

Image contents: A hammer on a dented board with screws that require a screwdriver. Caption: Maybe you don't lack discipline. Maybe you grew up without the tool that actually worked for your brain.

More polarization and division comes from flame wars - burned out people lashing out at each other, encouraged by the algorithms and the social media platform design.

EDIT: It seems to be a Connect (mobile app) display error. Just checked on desktop website, it's all good Lemmy-wise. I accidentally left and rejoined c/ TakeYourTimeBack and TakeOurTimeBack and now it's not on the moderation list for either (and TOTB seems to be deleted).

Might as well stick with 4.5 at this point and focus on actually completing the damn thing

This fandom community seems to be unmoderated (I asked a month ago) and mostly inactive (with the bulk of last year's activity being me posting my drawings).

I would like to grow the community (so hopefully there will eventually be more posts from people other than me), and being able to moderate it will help me do so.

Hypothetically speaking, how much would have to post/comment to be in the top 10/1/0.1 percent of posters/commenters on lemmy.world/Lemmy overall?

And how would one go about finding the data to determine that?

It's pretty ironic to have problems with audio not recognizing headphones... on WINDOWS.

Multi-trillion (10^12) dollar company, btw.

(Both laptops are reasonably new.)

At least read the updated post body.
