My first distro was OpenSUSE (or SuSE Linux back then) sometime around 2002. I picked it up out of curiosity in a book shop. They were selling the handbook, bundled with a DVD with the actual OS. It looked something like this. And thus started decades of distro hopping.
I'm 38 and still distro hop. At what age are you supposed to stop?
Have you tried it with a different enclosure or directly connected to your PC? My last two "faulty" HDDs actually just had a faulty controller in the enclosure. Drives were fine.
I've tested a couple solutions and settled on Immich. Does everything I need and the pace at which they add new features and improve it overall is insane.
Not the developer, but there's an option in the settings to turn Sentry error tracking off. I don't remember if it was enabled by default.
