Article title is misleading. This is just a fancy EEG that doesn’t need to be surgically implanted.

It can only”turn thoughts into text” if the user /recipient spends weeks/months training to “think loudly” enough for their words to be detectable in their brainwaves and translated by a machine like this

I think it’s really important for us to be careful of the misuse and abuse of BCIs, but the technology isn’t far enough yet for us to be worried about what you’ve described

While that sounds good in principle, it’s effectively impossible to implement in reality.

The author’s proposal is a more modest and achievable one that accomplishes nearly the same thing

The Japanese word for PC is pasokon (ぱそこん), which is short for pasono konpyutaa (パソのこんぴゅたー)

Welcome to the world of web administration

That was my exact experience too when I first started out.

Things that should have worked didn't, and things that shouldn't have worked did

And then eventually the things that should have worked started working, with no clear indication of why they weren't working, or why they suddenly started working.

All I can say is that it gets easier with time

If all the instances hosting illegal content federated with each other it would be easier for law enforcement to take them down
