Ahh Hyperion. I've reread three books/series ever: Dhalgren. Lord of Light and the Hyperion/Endymion cantos. Simply wonderful.

Red Rising is good. Memory Called Empire was ok. Project Hail Mary is quietly waiting on my to read shelf.

[Ornstein] Liverpool in negotiations with Bayern Munich for permanent signing of Ryan Gravenberch. Not guaranteed to happen but clubs discussing price + if finances right formal offer to follow. in c/liverpoolfc@lemmy.world

Most people unconciously associate the pause symbol (Two vertical lines) as currently playing and the playing symbol (sideways triangle) as paused. in c/showerthoughts@lemmy.world

I remember actually cutting analogue tape and using sticky tape to repair the join when cropping audio in the studio. Now it's just a symbol of a pair of scissors.

It seemed so easy at the time.

We went to see The Lion King. Over £50 a ticket. The woman sat next to us was doomscrolling Instagram the whole performance.
