So, I'm almost exclusively listening to deathmetal, deathcore and other kinds of extreme metal, but once upon a time I stumbled upon this song and since then Aesop Rock has found himself a permanent spot in my music library.

I haven't found many other rap artists that I like but when it comes to Aesop there are few songs I dislike.

I'm slowly rewatching Cowboy Bebop (only have a couple of episodes left now) and I still love it. It's my first rewatch after having watched it for the first time about 15+ years ago and even with all the other great animes releasing over the years, I think, it still stands up extremely well.

Can you explain what takes so long then when setting up your devices, because I really don't get it.

Playstation 5 setup should be a single login, then download and install firmware updates and before playing a game install another update. Everything else should be optional.

And two days to set up a router is not normal and something only very few people would have to deal with. For the most part it should either be connecting the router and it setting up automatically or connecting it and putting in your login data.

In general I would argue that it has become a whole lot easier to set up tech nowadays. The only thing that is more annoying today than in the past are mandatory accounts for tech that doesn't need them so they can gather/steal your data. That shit sucks.

Best I can do is rewrite all major characters but in a way that you dislike each and every one (R2 is the only exception), more Ewoks and Jar Jar and Ep. 7-9 are now heavily integrated into the rest of the anthology, basically pushing aside the Skywalkers. Oh yeah and special effects will be good.

One of my cats can't get enough of them, literally begs for them daily. For her it's butt drumming > food.

The other one hates them.

Thank you for the great comment, that was super informative. I didn't know Nordic Games became Embracer. That explains it a bit why I thought they came out of nowhere.

[-] Magusbear@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 year ago

The whole Embracer situation is so weird to me. I hadn't heard about them until the news broke that they were buying some of the Tolkien licenses and had already been buying a whole bunch of game studios. Cut to a couple months later and Embracer can't get rid off all these studios fast enough apparently bleeding money left and right.

Where did they suddenly come from? Or was I just out of the loop on them?

I've never had the feeling that it was particularly bad. In your case it seems to be that the game Night Run was removed from the Steam Store, which is why it's excluded from the search. Which isn't great when the store page still exists...

A co-worker was asking me if I could find a truly unlimited data plan for the Netherlands (we aren't from there but she frequents the country a lot and I lived there for a while). It is absolutely impossible. Every data plan has a 5-10GB per day restriction, even though they all claim to be unlimited.

I get that it's generally done to discourage hogging the mobile network and making it miserable for everyone but in that case you shouldn't be able to call something unlimited, because 5-10GB is far far from unlimited...

I made the switch recently as well. I was really unsure of how the whole thing would turn out with me having used Windows for the last 20 years +, but man, it was way easier than I thought.

I went with EndeavourOS on my desktop and Pop!OS on my laptop (for easy igpu/dedicated gpu switching) and I haven't missed Windows since. What's the most difficult is learning the new keyboard shortcuts, but even those you could rebind in Linux. Because you can customize the OS to however YOU work best, instead of having to conform to whatever the OS thinks is best for you.

And man, package managers, am I right? How cool are they...I tried to use chocolatey and winget on Win11 but they never felt quite right, but pacman and yay? Absolutely glorious. I love typing yay into the terminal every couple of days and watching it go, keeping my system up to date.

That's the actual problem I think. Imo it's fine for them to try to flirt with you, but almost all the non flirt options in those situations are kind of mean. There are also some options were I'm just not sure if I am being nice or starting down the relationship path.

Is this hug going to comfort them or is it already sexual? I don't know. Which is all the more hard for me because I'm playing a kind old dwarfen paladin who just wants everyone to get along and be happy.

I'm at a loss and haven't found anything that could help me with this. So for some reason whenever I start Total War Warhammer 3 (Steam Linux Runtime) a chromium process starts which seems to play a trailer or intro video from the way it sounds (it's a headless chromium as far as I can tell, so I don't see any window). The worst is that I can kill the chromium instance but it will just restart. The same happens if I let it run through, at some point it will just restart.

The only way to cope with this at the moment is for me to mute chromium in the Gnome sound settings. However, this mutes every chromium instance which isn't ideal.

No other Steam game (or game in general) is doing this.

Some info about my system: Endeavour OS with GNOME Desktop AMD Ryzen 3700X Nvidia 3070 with proprietary drivers

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a complete guide to C#. If it covers basic programming paradigms as well that would be a plus as I have coded a bunch of stuff but am lacking in theoretical knowledge.

I'm definitely open to spending money for a book or something like that. A full course would be outside of my price range though.

Maybe someone has any good suggestions! I obviously tried googling and had a look at microsofts learning resources but without having some feedback as to how good they are it is difficult to choose something.

There has been no activity for three years on the current owners profile. I think it's safe to assume that they abandoned the community.

I can't do anything anymore on the website, I'm constantly being logged out or sometimes shown as the wrong user and most buttons don't work anymore.

Jerboa still lets me use my account but no matter which PC/Laptop/Smartphone I use I can't do anything anymore in a web browser.

The web page at first shows that I'm not logged in, then when I refresh the page, I'm usually logged in but most buttons don't work (eg. clicking on my name in the top right corner doesn't open the context menu - context menus in general don't work). I can't post, upvote, anything. Sometimes, when I refresh the page, it shows me being logged in as a different user as well, but this is gone after another refresh.

Funnily enough I have no problems in Jerboa. Everything works fine there.

It's been like this for about 2 days now.
