100% agree. It’s great on its own. I’m just pretending it’s like Roam’s cousin. I have the full tub and the splash. I’ll for sure be using it.

Anyone else crack open their Roam 2.0? I’m a tad disappointed. It’s a great soap: lathers well, smooth shave and very pleasant scent. BUT, it’s not Roam. I know Will said it wasn’t. I just didn’t expect it to be so different. The tail-end of the profile retains that grassy old-Roam scent, but the top-end is very barbershop-y. I like it, but people in the office won’t be complaining about it like the original. 😖

I use 2FAS because Aegis isn’t available for iOS. :) It’s more maintained than Tofu and is more feature rich. My main gripe is the backup format. It’s unnecessarily complicated. Not a deal breaker, but close.

Roam 2.0!! (lemmy.world)

Just got this in my inbox. I’ve managed to stop buying soaps for quite a while, but I’ll definitely be ordering a set of this. My favorite scent of all time. Hopefully, he hasn’t f’d it up…

10,000 Sentences is new to me!! I’ll add it to the list of apps that I’ll eventually use to learn a new language. 😏

Ha! Ouch. Too true. Also, wezterm. I’ve been changing my config everyday for days now.

I’ll echo what @otter@lemmy.ca said, Garmin is really the only way to go. Currently. You can basically run them completely disconnected from Garmin after you get them setup.

I’ll also echo what @ExtremeDullard@lemmy.sdf.org said but qualify it by saying the PineTime is…a piece of junk. I wanted SO much to like it, but nothing about it works the way that is intended. It will not monitor your heart rate accurately. At least not for longer than 30 seconds. It will also not keep accurate count of your steps. It just doesn’t have sensitive/effective enough hardware for it. The firmware and OS are barely maintained. It’s sad, but true. I’ll be the first person in line to drop $500 on an Apple Watch or Samsung Watch equal FOSS watch. The market just doesn’t seem to be there.

Re FUTO: how do you feel about their license? I’ve seen some drama around it. Doesn’t give me the warm fuzzies either. Nice list, btw.

Been using KISS Launcher very happily. Worth a look.

To add to this, “Kvaesitso is available in the official F-Droid repository, but all features depending on non-foss external APIs were removed.” This is preferable to a lot of people.

I use and love Joplin. It seems like for this use case, it’d be a step better than a spreadsheet. I want something that’s more like tap a button and add a name if necessary. Great suggestion, though. Thanks!

Like the title implies, I’m looking for a way to keep track of places I go. If the ratings system doesn’t exist, that’s okay. The important part is keeping track of places I’ve been, on what date and how often. I know this could be done with a spreadsheet, but that’s sounds like work, and I’m lazy. I couldn’t find anything similar, but maybe my search-fu is off given the holidays. What do you all use, or am I alone in this? Thanks!

Most of you are familiar with Yelp, so no link for you!

A+ for the Brian Regan reference. He’s magic.
