Thank you. People seem perfectly happy with lemmy.world blacklisting lemmy.ml altogether and such because it's censorship that they agree with, people generally only get cranky in the pants about censorship when they agree with the thing being censored.

For sure! I thought I was just going to be boned because of the GPU issues I had because 'lol buy a different GPU' just isn't practical and the end of service life for Win10 is coming up in a few months and I was really not looking forward to moving to 11.

Honestly I'm not even 'enjoying' the OS, it's gotten to the point for me where it's just the way things are now, it's kind of become just a fact about my world. There are a couple things I miss from Windows (reliable Phone Link being the primary one, I hate typing on my phone keyboard and KDE Connect SMS/Pushbullet/etc don't always get SMS updates and such, but also something like Stardock Fences), but mostly it just works.

Then what is it you were asking if people agreed with?

It's just you. I'm using Firefox 138.0.4 64-bit (linux) and uBO 1.64.0 and youtube works fine for me.

Getting the hell out of Texas. I'm moving to Pennsylvania in a month and change after living in Texas for almost 10 years and hating it here the whole time. It'll be nice to be out of the aggressively backwards deep-red South. Kinda wish I was moving southwest instead of northeast, but that shit's just way too expensive. Plus it'll be nice to be out of the oppressive heat and humidity of the Gulf Coast for 8 months out of the year.

I used Pop for a bit and didn't like its DE either, and also it hated my GPU (a bog-standard RTX3060) for some reason. Got frustrated, tried a bunch of Ubuntu-derived distros that either wouldn't install or installed and wouldn't boot (also GPU/driver-related issues, apparently), got fed up, and decided to try Nobara about a month ago on the basis of it being a gaming-focused distro with frequent updates, and I have been quite pleasantly surprised. 95% of everything I've tried just works, the rest requires a bit of fiddling but isn't too bad (had to install battle.net via Steam rather than Lutris for whatever reason, f.ex), I even got my novel-writing software running pretty well under wine. At this point I haven't booted back into windows in weeks and I think I'm just about ready to start tearing down my windows install and converting my other drives away from NTFS.

Do you happen to have a link to that somewhere? Not finding it myself.

Do I agree with what, exactly? This cartoon's assessment of Trump? Trump's assessment of Gaza? Putin's assessment of Trump? Can you be even slightly more specific? :P

Mm, the 'love it or leave it' propaganda is strong in this one.

Fucking extremely this.

lolwut?! I don't think you have had this conversation before - you don't even appear to be having it right now - but don't let me interrupt you. Please, tell me more about these brilliant, astute insights you've had about me as a person from one punctuation mark and a couple letters after my name.

.ml users all sound the same to me.

I'm sure, but I imagine that has a lot more to do with you sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting 'la la la I can't hear you!' than anything anyone else might have to say. When you'd like to have an actual conversation instead of dismissing whole swaths of people with your 'see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil' routine you know where to find me. I'll definitely be holding my breath for that one. :P

denies a purported genocide for which there is little to no direct evidence for outside of western government/media's unsupported claims, cites actual evidence - some of which I helpfully both linked and quoted - that against it, and doesn't even mention the US save to quote your original claim (for which you provided no evidence.)

FTFY. Funny how people see .ml and just stop reading. If you want to talk about genocide I'd love to discuss the US-supported one in Gaza that is actually going on right now and for which we have figurative mountains of evidence. No? You'd rather scurry back to your echo chamber than have your worldview challenged by someone who might have some idea what they're talking about? This is my surprised face.
