They also do quite a bit of engineering r&d stuff.

They just sell the licenses for their solutions and research now rather than directly making products from it.

I don’t agree that this is necessarily a weakness or that it’s overly strange.

While they might not be able to quite hit the peak fitness of someone in their 20’s and 30’s, you also gain a large amount of meaningful mental fortitude as you get older.

In short you have seen more shit and dealt with more shit. So generally you can bear more headship and pain before breaking, also probably less prone to discipline issues, and the older ones likely provide a good example to the rest.

In a war for the survival of your nation all able bodied people are needed. There are naturally more older people than there are younger ones.

I have to say, while not a huge fan of apple…

Most of these hacks I’ve seen seem to have long been patched out.

I still feel iPhones are largely more secure overall even if simply because on average I’m pretty confident the fleet of iPhones in use are using much more up to date software than android devices.

I don’t think that analogy goes far enough…

The sheer level of hurt that the USDF could put on them is completely on a different universe to anything they would have come up against previously.

They 100% could obliterate everything in that theatre that even resembles a “target” with little warning and zero real strain, it would be significantly less effort than some of the training exercises that happen.

Someone is clearly being paid by someone else to provoke a response or provide a distraction (I wonder who)

Which I think is probably why nothing too crazy has happened in response yet because why give them what they seem to want.

The fact that people are using iMessage for group chats is which a weird concept to me.

That’s what discord, WhatsApp and Facebook messenger are for.

If anyone adds my primary text message service number to a group chat they are being blocked. Gross.

I just want my operating system:

  1. To have a logical settings layout, perform well, be stable

  2. Be fully and easily compatible with most mainstream programs and games without having to screw around too much.

Give me back windows 7, add dx12 support, update the back end with any kernel and scheduler updates, call it windows gamer edition. Then fuck off out of my life Microsoft.

Nobody wants to “use an operating system” we want to run programs and do it efficiently, i feel the vast majority of changes Microsoft has made since windows 7 ended has been to the detriment of that.

I can only hope that now with Vulcan becoming more popular and the rise of steam os on the steam deck that we will start to see native Linux aaa games being a thing.

Please as much as your power supply allows you to do so, do NOT daisy chain them on a high end modern GPU.

Use dedicated cables from the power supply for each of the 8 pins where ever possible even if it means a little more cable clutter.

Also not to scare you or whatever but I would personally avoid using a gigabyte power supply if you can at all avoid it.

Power supplies are the heart of your computer, while I understand it can be a sad thing to have to spend good money on, potentially limiting the amount you have to spend on more fun parts like cpus and gpus. It really is worth it in the long run. A good power supply will usually get me through 3 seperate builds and still be under warranty for the start of the third one.

I’d recommend something from be-quiet or from superflower as good options that are fairly affordable at least in my market tho mileage might vary.

Other good choices are Seasonic, and the upper mid range and higher Corsair (HX and up)

I don’t think so…

This might apply if they were not going to just level the place.

This will probably be more “shock and awe” combined arms level the place and anyone in it with the orders being that in 24h time anyone left there is to be considered an enemy combatant.

I don’t agree with killing civilians like that but that’s what’s going to happen. Because right now they feel they have the geopolitical cover to just go in like a steamroller and flatten everything.

it’s a thing.

Yes I hate it.

I think it can be disabled in bios.

Everything is probably fine.

Honestly not to defend apple here... but does the timing of this announcement seem a bit too convenient.
