hopefully, but we all know trump will go (metaphorically) nukular if we go with Gripen. They already tried planting the seeds of "but there's no way it could interoperate with modern planes as part of NORAD and NATO!" which, of course they can. and "you could never possibly afford to have more than 1 type of plane! that's just crazy talk!" which is nonsense, except for the insane requirements for care and feeding of the F35s taking an oversized proportion of available resources…

I just hope this isn't a "see! we can buy from other countries too! (and then buy all of the F35s as initially planned)" kind of thing.

I'm still SUUUUPER curious about how the first petition "FOREVER CANADIAN" got over 400,000 signatures and somehow got no traction with the UCP. these treasonous assclowns somehow manage to get 178,000 signatures (while doing lots of shady stuff to get that far) and OMG WE'RE GONNA SEPARAGE ITS A KOODETAT!
we've had nationalized energy before, and I distinctly remember it not being free of charge.
