Dell G15 (5510)

On the Dell website it says has one option that says 240W (the one I was using is 180.0 W) is compatible with mine but for $140 I want to be 100%

Also my old one shocked the shit out of me because it was frayed and I had no idea so I want to be 1000% sure so I don’t get accidentally shocked again.

If they’re going to argue they have protected rights like a US citizen then when they break the law they can go to jail like a human. Financial crimes, 6 month time out for Amazon. Worker dies because Amazon refuses a break, 25 year timeout.

The nerve of these fuckers.

Don’t donate too much, Nintendo’s gonna take that shit.

Dude needs to move to a country without Nintendo jurisdiction and restart the GoFundMe. I’d give the dude $100. Fuck Nintendo over that.

Why is it so expensive and is there an alternative out there that won’t break so easily especially in the winter? My state is spending like a billion dollars a year on roads that they’ll probably have to fix in 5 years, it really seems like a huge waste of money.

Good Public transportation would fix a lot of these costs I know but what other road materials/solutions are out there?

Thank you for the answers and for putting up with my follow up questions. I’m learning a lot!

I’m learning Spanish, and I’m getting decent at reading it but I’m trying to immerse myself in it more since I still can’t understand it very well. so I was wondering if I could find something I really enjoy like football and watch it in Spanish. I know the NFL probably has a Spanish football channel but I like college football over the NFL and I would prefer to watch a local Spanish team play and possibly become a fan of that team and follow it.

So if American football is played in a Spanish speaking country can I watch it online somehow and also can I have some suggestions on what team would be fun to watch?

If not football I know they play basketball over there so I’ll take some suggestions for that as well if anyone is interested.

Thank you!

I know they’re not trying to be but that HR speak is so fucking condescending. “I’m sorry for how you’re feeling.”

Corporations shouldn’t be allowed to sit on property. There’s an old fast food restaurant near my neighborhood, boarded up, trash everyone, it’s a eyesore to the community. The owner wants an unreasonable amount for it. It’s been sitting empty for 10 years.

The government needs to step in, tell the landlord to rent the place out, sell it or we’re going to take it and turn it into affordable housing or a park.

Edit: thank you everyone for the suggestions. I ended up getting the target one https://www.target.com/p/full-queenwashed-cotton-sateen-quilt-white-threshold-8482/-/A-81786124

It looks very similar to mine (hope so anyway) and it looks better than the bubble wrap design (can’t unsee it now thx for that by the way)

Appreciate all of you, I was googling forever before I made this post, your suggestions helped me so much

Can someone tell me what type of blanket this is or show me a similar online to buy? Mine was ruined by the washer/dryer. It’s pretty old so I’m not too upset just would like to replace it.

It’s soft, I use it as a comforter but it might be a blanket. It doesn’t have the plastic-y feel some comforters have. I think it’s cotton but there’s no tag. Every cotton blanket I search for on Amazon has the holes/weaves in it, I don’t want that. Been to khols a couple times couldn’t find it there. It might not even be cotton idk

Office workers should start unionizing. If they’re going to force you into work at least make them pay you for your time.

This dude covered up sexual abuse. Don’t understand why this snake has a job to begin with. Any congressman that votes to make him speaker needs to be voted out.

$700 for this is insane. I get why they’re doing it but there’s no reason anyone should pay $700 for a bed.

San Francisco should build their own get that shit up to code, make it about 30 stories, have spots for restaurants, stores, retail at the bottom and make it actually affordable and for everyone. There should be no market for 700 a month 4 foot tall boxes. Greedy fucks.

Shit should be like $50 a month max and yea it’s dystopian AF but if people want to do it I guess whatever. Just don’t rip them off.

Edit: 10/23 I took a lot of advice from here, I bought an avocado yesterday and I tried it today. It was perfect! The taste was incredible. I didn’t need to salt/season it to hide anything. I am in a different state right now but when I get home I’ll buy one at home using my knowledge I now have and hopefully it’ll be perfect. Maybe I was picking out the wrong avocados & there’s nothing wrong with me. We’ll see, but I’m excited to have a good tasting avocado for the first time in a long time.

Edit: I’m reading your replies I promise. The app I’m using is bugging out and it’s not letting me reply. I’ll log in on the browser later and reply. Thank you everyone!

I love Avocado. When I go to the store I’ll pick out a green one that’s firm, and I’ll eat it once it starts to get slightly soft. The problem is more than 90% of the time they’re no good. They have a gross taste, almost like it’s spoiled. I can’t blame the store, I’ve tried Aldi, Walmart, Kroger, Trader Joe’s and they all have the weird gross taste. Maybe it’s the supplier, the type of avocado (hass i believe) or maybe it’s just me. By the way the only reason I try and try again is because our avocados are cheap. .65-85 cents and I get one a week. (Maybe my region is getting garbage avocados?)

Anytime I go to a restaurant and order anything with avocado, it’s always perfection. I would rather eat a good avocado than any desert and this is coming from someone who loves desert and doesn’t eat as many fruits or vegetables as I should.

So what should I be doing to get a good avocado from the grocery store?

I’ve tried googling and following those directions but nothings working. Maybe Lemmy knows something Google doesn’t?

Also I’ve tried getting them when they’re soft, firm, green, darker, I’ve put them in the fridge, I’ve tried combinations of things and nothing that I’ve notice has worked.

Lunatics always show up in my For You feed on Twitter. I always tag the company with a screenshot of the offending content with the advertisement. Lately it’s been weird advertisements. Shitty gambling apps, religious and personal accounts promoting their personal brand. So they likely don’t care.

Also I’ll never call Twitter anything but Twitter.

Absolutely bizarre utility companies are for profit with shareholders.

Corporations should not own single family housing. There is zero reason housing should continue to increase like it does.

Go onto Zillow. Look how much the house was originally built for, throw that into an inflation calculator and be shocked at how we’re being ripped off.

And now on top of being ripped off, interest rates are ridiculous.

There is not a shortage of housing, corporations are buying them up and either sitting on them or renting them out at high rates.

The same corporations buying up housing are buying up apartment complexes. I know in my area many of them are at less than 20% full and they’re still charging $1500 a month for a 1 bedroom. They’re artificially driving up prices putting a stranglehold on the economy.

If Americans didn’t have to throw most of their paycheck towards housing (or education or healthcare) the whole country would be in much better shape. Inflation wouldn’t hit as hard, we could put more money into savings and actually retire, extra money for travel or things that make us happy.

It seems like such a simple solution, maybe I’m wrong but something needs to change.

There are hundreds of administrators in this school district making six figures. The main administrator makes 300k+ if we didn't have enough drivers these tax payer funded jerkoffs could've been out driving these buses and getting these kids home safely. JCPS likes to waste money year in and year out and every single year they do something embarrassing. This one was top tier embarrassing.
