my understanding was that her birth date and age was quite verified. also, a Japanese person lived to 119....Okinawan, I think.

too few people mention number of sexual partners, sharing food, shaking hands, and other ways of spreading germs mammal to mammal (include the human mammal). An overweight family member who didn't have the best diet - though it wasn't the worst - amazed me by living to age 95. She didn't do well at allllll in her last 5 years, but still....I was sure she'd die by 80. I think having slept with only one man, being a germaphobe and neat-nik, and being a stay-at-home mother for many years helped keep her from the germs that can cause aging and lead to disease. Her only exercise was cleaning and running after kids and walking briskly room to room to make sure everything was done right. She didn't like the outdoors at all and didn't worry about her figure.

I don't know the answer for this but when I used Obsidian with the vault with Nextcloud, I made a huge mess of things. You can use the markdown/.md files (of many markdown editors like I do) in Nextcloud and use it between PCs and phones. I found Syncthing much harder to do this way, so only use Syncthing for my 50GB Music folder and for sharing PC-related things between computers such as themes, icon pack themes, wallpapers, and small programs and .iso files. And, Syncthing is no longer on Android anyway - which is good because I could never get it to work well on Android.

Our governments no longer represent us, so we can strike. Would be great if all countries did this at the same time just to remind our leaders who needs who the most.

or just start a campaign that costs nothing: a petition to each local politician, one to the agency that regulates anti-trust, anti-monopoly stuff. I'm kind of shocked that China hasn't sold us phones and apps that bypass some of thee American or western things we hate so much. It would seem China would encourage western dissent.

idk about crypto being an option for much longer - not in 10 years, I'd think. FIDO Alliance, a NWO/New World Order org, has been working for years to put for a mandatory biometrics/digital ID login each and every time a person uses the internet on phone or PC. There have already been authorities wanting to close down or control crypto. I agree, though, that metal coins will be used to trade: gold, silver, copper, maybe nickel, and not sure what else. They'll probably be made illegal, too, but will still be used. I think we all need to find ways to work at least 5 to 10 hours off the books - a trade that is easier to hide. And, we need to start slowly to create black markets so that not only the bad guys are running black markets. Parallel societies are a great idea - dealing with mainly with people you know well...kind of like the Amish communities.

then the government must be bypassed in as many ways as possible.

heart-warming. uplifting. sometimes i feel that i live in a world where "cash is king" and ego matters more than almost anything else.

how much censoring do they do? Lemmy and reddit are very censorship-happy.

there are almost no frontends left working. i had to chase them to see what worked. LibRedirect has no way to flag when some don't, thus removing those?

and the USA and EU would never try to influence Poland, right? We like to think that "misinformation" is simply lies or lies-by-omission, but nearly every country does it...and probably every political party, every politician, and manyyyy individual who are not in government and not lawyers.

me, too, but it only allows 2GB. If you plan to encrypt it for when you aren't needing it, then you can only use half that as encryption doubles files. I've been wondering if Owncloud, NC's close cousin, has a free account, too. I could use Owncloud for images, I guess.

The Germans chanting in unison about fascism is damned-near tear-jerkingly beautiful. This has spread to quite a few European countries - not just Germans, France, and the Netherlands.

At least 3,000 that died were on a feed lot. The short video I saw showed no trees or even bushes around and solid black angus cows that almost certainly were in over-crowded conditions standing in full sun all day. It pisses me off that the real scene of the crime(s) wasn't shown.

Do i simply install on top of a Debian server OS? Which .iso do I download/install?

I think even XFCE is rather bloated and have Debian XFCE on 2 other drives already, so will test out Debian stable nonfree with xfwm standalone. I have the names of the top 5 packages to add and will worry about the rest later. I am in no hurry to get this perfect yet. But, I would like to install the fundamentals tomorrow.
