Maybe something like the North Atlantic Trade Organisation? Or the No Yanks club?

The river still disappears :(

No but honestly, this made me really nostalgic. Would be cool if this style made a comeback.

Edit: I realised now that wasn’t a river but the data center sucking up the water.

The rest of the world has May 1st.

It’s a survey about what people in some countries in the eu want. Lots of stuff. Not a single question explicitly about Greenland. But evidence that can lead to more informed opinions (eg countries who wouldn’t mind sending troops to Ukraine now which isn’t an eu country).

I know it’s a lot of work making inferences from data where you can’t just ctrl f a word and get an answer.

But the overall picture isn’t that citizens of the eu are feeling passive and just going to write letters. And I know that wasn’t a question either. Tricky is this thing called evidence.

And this was just one survey of many that exist.

Thank you for sharing the typical conservative talking points about the EU

While you are here, you may want to look at some (scary I know) actual evidence https://ecfr.eu/publication/home-alone-europeans-are-ready-to-defend-themselves/ about how people in the EU actually feel and what they are willing to do

Babylon 5s pay off comes in season 3 and 4. There are some great episodes at the end of season 1 and season 2. But S3 and S4 are the best television I’ve seen. It’s hard to imagine but still the case.

Look, I don’t live in the US but there is usually a side that is a lot worse than the other. Holier than thou attitudes of “but the better side wasn’t as good as I wanted so I let the worse side get into power” is basically being part of an apocalyptic cult. It’s pathetic. You could still oppose everything you oppose now but with a better baseline. Yeah I want my left politicians to be better in certain topics—some that impact me a lot personally and I can still be an advocate for those things—it doesn’t mean I implicitly support the extreme right here getting into power.

So I’ve now got some delivery notifications (batch 1). So it’s happening.

As a 30-40 year old male (maybe old man) who is a boss, hates gender roles (and questioning in general), hates etiquette, pretending to be fine, hates expectations and judgement—I wouldn’t have guessed which community this was in that turned up in my feed. So if anything—I’m glad most of my insecurities align here. Not sure if this helps anyone (go solidarity!). Take care everyone.

Yes. But this is the likely pretence for military presence if the government intervenes. The US invasion of Greenland is starting.

I’m so fucking angry about how this is going. It’s going to be war if the US persists.

So basically no need to outrage?

Also not got mine yet in batch 1.

So just over a week to the next season. There are likely 1-3 more people coming through the door. But despite that uncertainty (and putting transfers to one side), what do you hope happens this season? What is a good season? What is acceptable?

For me:

  • Part of a clear top 3. (Hopefully more than that)
  • our exit from the EL has to be against a good team if we don’t win it.
  • hopefully good domestic cup runs (but they always depend on the draw).

I trust Klopp regardless of how many more get signed.

How is everyone else feeling?

Not sure if people are around/watching but let’s try. Let’s discuss the game.

Liverpool team:

Kelleher

Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson

Alexander-Arnold, Clark, Szoboszlai

Salah, Nunez, Diaz

(Formation is a guess/based on LFCTV)

Subs: Jaros, Mrozek, Gomez, Mac Allister, Gakpo, Jota, Tsimikas, Matip, Scanlon, Doak, McConnell, Koumas, Quansah.

Where to watch? https://video.liverpoolfc.com/ (can sign up for 1 month free)

Kick off: 1730 (UK time)

Some news

  • Henderson has not traveled.

  • Trent seems like he is starting in midfield.

  • Ali apparently has a slight knock and left out as a precaution.

  • 2 x 45 minute teams likely.

  • First match in Karlsruher's new stadium, so it is a big sold out event for them
