Jesus, of course it's not free. Solar panels are not free, the land you put ten on is not free, construction is not free and the infrastructure needed to supply energy during the nigh (storage or another source of energy) is not free. How is this not obvious?

Be the police that stops a robbery or rape. Don't be the police that plants evidence to justify illegal raid, then murders the drag dealer to steal his money while selling guns to gangsters specializing in killing kids.

What you said (if I understand you correctly, you didn't give any examples) boils down to breaking standards established by the current browsers. The standards that web developers and servers universally follow. If you want to build browser that will not follow standards you might just as well render HTML in non-standars ways. Most pages will not work anyway.

Imagine you're sitting in restaurant waiting for the waiter while doing some work on your Vision Pro. The waiter shows up and says 'sir...'. You look at him and... there were two options:

  • it's just a black screen so it's not clear if you're actually looking at him. Are you paying attention? Of are you still 'inside' and can't hear/see anyone

  • you have this fake eyes indicating that you're actually looking at him

It's a really stupid "solution" to a huge problem all VR/AR has The actual solution? Don't buy it.

Did you ever had to buy a new laptop because Linux stopped supporting the current one?
