The solders involved in desecrating the mosque were detained. Not sure what will happen to them. The right in Israel tend not to care, or at most say these things happen and we're at war etc. The left are not having it, and see it as part of the extreme right religious movement that is our terrible government.

3 for each Israeli

So, I've made the mistake of entering a keyboard store in Berlin. Nothing ergonomic there, so all they deal with are great looking boards, heavy, well built, and quiet!

I've built and designed my share of boards, and the sound hadn't bothered me at all until recently. I've designed my first 3d printed case, it's a one piece, just needs a bottom cover.

It acts like an amplifier to my typing. It's not a pleasant sound at all.

What would be the best way to design a quieter one piece board? What materials could make a difference? I was thinking of a metal switch plate, can It be used together with 3d printed layers? Wood? Should I use foam?

Looking for a choc build (more difficult due to lack of silent choc switches) as well as an mx build (probably bobba u4 switches, which will take care of most of the noise)

Thanks!

This particular government is the worst we've ever had. It was chosen by Netanyahu, who, you might be surprised, isn't at all a fascist, barely right winged. He is an opportunist. He took control of a mid to right winged party, one that made peace with Egypt. He realised his only way to gain votes (and later to get out of prison) was to outdo the right winged parties and 'steal' their voters. This made him good friends with the ultra orthodox and extreme right wingers. His party has become him, anyone still in his own party are idiots and imbeciles, none of who can operate a gevernment. Netanyahu is the scum of the earth, he has a government made of the worst our country has to offer. He is changing the laws and the governing system to get out of jail and become another Erdoğan/ bolsonaro /Putin, and just stay in power forever, stealing money from everyone as he has been doing for decades.

And idealist right winger would at least have a plan other than to save his own career and money while destroying the country and its institutions.

Israeli military is not for volunteers, it's for everyone. The top ranking generals and chiefs of staff were prominent against Netanyahu and this extremist incompetent government. They are also said that human rights activists that give a voice to solders that saw atrocious acts of the idf itself. This is not the norm, contrary to what the media would have you think. This, according to the top ranking Israeli ex officers, is how the idf should fix its wrongs.

Can't see the photo yet, happened earlier with the first comment and then got fixed.

It's beautiful! That is what ill build! Is it a lot to get other than 3D print?

what did you modify??? Please share :-)

Edit: OK, your thumb cluster is a must. Is it low profile switches or just really cool keycaps?

Would editing it to be a 5 column board be a lot of work?

Edit 2: Would you be willing to share your modifications?

It's surprising to me that having redundancy isn't common. I've got several ways to get to numbers, arrows, I can reach any key using the left hand only (and one day I'll be arsed to fix things so that the right hand could too). It's mostly theoretical, as some of the combinations are not well memorised, but those I found useful obviously are.

Looks great! Not to my 1DFH preference, but very good looking! Is it tented?

Hi. I've been using Dactyl Manuforms for quite a few years now. Settled down with a 5 column with an extremely sculpted SA keycaps and bobba u4t switches. I use only 2/3 thumb keys regularly but enjoy having more.

I'm interested to know if anyone thinks an alternative is worth trying ? Any input would be appreciated!

Not saying that's false, just saying this bloated government of malicious morons talk a big talk and have less control over things. Netanyahu choose incompetent ass lickers and often makes decisions without them.

Unless it requires a different version of node.js that cannot be upgraded as it requires an older version of some other software, but cannot be upgraded because that other software needs just that particular version and will stop working if you dare upgrade, so you choose to upgrade anyway, so your package manager refuses to upgrade anything now because you broke something just to get that new software to work.

I love linux, and until recently used it exclusively on my own computers, I know all/most of these are solvable, but as a long time novice who's sick of fixing these things, it's a real life scenario.

I currently choose between upgrading my browser (which refuses to load several accounts as long as it's not upgraded) and software I use as a hobby which won't work if I let synaptic package manager fix whatever it deems broken.

Currently using windows almost exclusively for day to day work, and dual booting mint for one single purpose. Hating windows with a passion while doing so but life is too short to fix dependencies...

Pretty sure I used to have a tree style tab view, using a plugin. Is that what you meant or is a plugin a privacy issue?

Internally, Netanyahu can't afford to reject any semi reasonable offer. He also wants to be able to say he did anything positive. He'll hopefully be crucified no matter what, but in his eyes nothing is his fault and he's working hard at getting points for any achievement and blaming everything and anyone in the past millenia.

They released two US citizens (they might actually live in the US, not just hold a passport). They treat the hostages with US citizenship differently. It has nothing to do with Israel and probably everything to do with not wanting the US to get involved
