You’re not going to believe this: I was permanently banned from both these subreddits, r/SFXLibraries and r/AudioPost for “piracy efforts”! Where or how did I commit “piracy” in any of these reddit posts?! Only adding insult to injury; I got immediately muted from contacting both subreddit admins for 28 days! I didn’t even mention anything pirate-related like keygens or torrents. I just asked for help to locate these sound effect and music libraries to their source websites. Adding more insult to injury, after my 28 day mute expired, they muted me again for ANOTHER 28 days!

The same thing happened on r/TooAfraidToAsk when I tried to re-erect the page after Reddit’s spam filter removed it after I was shadowbanned. r/TooAfraidToAsk claimed I’m now perma-banned due to breaking “Rule 3”. How did I even “soapbox”, “troll”, “moralise”, “sealion”, or “spam”? They accepted it the first time and now I get booted for good this time?! It seems just asking this type of question is too dangerous!

So therefore, I need to ask somewhere else. But even those other sites aren’t fairing any better! - My Deviantart journal included. How can something as simple and innocent as asking where I can acquire this audio file (stock music for Most Shocking Police Videos or Sound Ideas/The Hollywood Edge sound effect) be treated as… a full-scale felony?! I have to ask somewhere! But even Sound Effects Fandom removed my question because they claim it’s “too long” and they even banned me for two weeks! And when I go to complain about this on Fandom Community Central, the discussion post is instantly removed upon posting. Fandom admins claim that Fandom isn’t the place to make that type of complaint. That, combined with YouTube’s comment system ghosting certain-to-random comments on certain-to-random videos, I felt like I’m not getting my messages across anywhere!

This all combined really makes my blood boil, because the absolute last thing anyone ever wants to encounter when they want to seek answers to a question is, you guessed it: silence/nothing! Like Lazlo discussing that they are going to sell beans to raise money for a submarine only to see an empty foreground seconds later.

I thought hard and I tried , and low and behold: they all deleted my question or block me because I “attempted illegal shares” or the question doesn’t really fit their forum site. Obviously, when there’s a question, IT NEEDS ANSWERS! What is an animation video without music or sound effects?! I have high doubts that Alvin Earthworm ever purchased any sprites or sound effects or music for his Super Mario Bros Z.

Why don’t YOU give me advice where I can seek this answer, because I am running out of places to try. And so far, no luck on The VG Resource either. Speaking of which, did they totally forget about iOS Jailbreaking, reverse engineering, and The VG Resource? These are ways to acquire things without getting into trouble.

I’m just trying to be like every non-profiting animator and make things like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKU2_RfIAc8, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yk_3WQRizug and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFMkkkci-rw. These videos I found utilize Sound Ideas/The Hollywood Edge sounds. This guy and little boy uploaded it with no problem! Yet these mod bozos treated me like a worldwide-wanted criminal!

These sound effects are heard and used literally everywhere (cartoons, movies, TV, and especially video games). Therefore, no one should bother to care who’s using them, should they? Looking for one law breaker who’s using something very commonly heard is like looking for a needle hidden in a haystack. So I’m certain the copyright holder wouldn’t waste their time and money hunting down one individual with the “illegally” acquired item - let alone millions of them on this planet . Alot of people have used them for their “crappy” stop motion films and they never had problems. Next thing you know, they’re gonna invent and mandate a license to “drink rainwater falling from the sky”.

I have high doubts that these lego animators ever purchased these sounds. Note: these sound effects were free to download - at least back when SoundDogs was in control of distributing these sounds at that time period.

Why do you think sites like The Models/Spriters/Sounds Resource exist? To help others acquire games’ decompiled assets - such as models, sprites (for things like a HUD or UI), OSTs/BGMs (Background Music or Original Sound Tracks) and, of course - sound effects. We’ve been putting OSTs and BGMs onto YouTube with almost no problems. So therefore, who should bother to care in this situation? This is no different than turning off the music in the game’s options menu and playing with just sound effects enabled. And you can cue that sound effect in the game as much as you want to your heart’s content. Speaking of which, did they totally forget about iOS Jailbreaking, reverse engineering, and The VG Resource? These are ways to acquire things without getting into trouble.

I’m merely making a homemade movie for entertainment and fun purposes only. I’m not doing monetary things like join Michael Bay and make a blockbuster as eye-peeling as his Transformers franchise. And I have a huge list of sound effects and their libraries to acquire, because even though I might not use some of them, it’s nice to know how these sound effects got their names when they were first created - so I can expand my vocabulary knowledge in terms of sound effects.

From Treehouse TV website’s Toons n’ Tunes from around early 2003-early 2008. This was a feature From Treehouse TV’s website called "Toons n' Tunes" that allows you to listen to various songs from various shows that aired on Treehouse TV.

Although I did manage to find some songs from the Treehouse TV show Wee 3 on YouTube, this is only part of my childhood recovered. If anybody can find the remaining songs from the Treehouse TV show Wee 3, please do. I managed to acquire some sound files from the now defunct Sly Cooper Thievius Raccoonus online flash site, so I’m 50% positive I can do this same thing with a little bit of help. But this time, Wayback Machine failed me.
