This is a good one. I remember this one from when I was a kid.

Peaked in the 90s? I'm surprised you're still alive now.

It is possible that I'm using the phrase wrong, I've done that lots haha. I always picture an old timey cartoon where the ghost rises out of the person and then returns to the body after doing something

Knowing Windows there's some legacy piece of code that checks if there's a floppy in drive A: and assigning a drive to it makes the OS fail to boot or something.

MCC was a remaster, this is a remake.

The best way to convey large text blocks is through a landscape PDF embedded in a website.

Heh heh, yeah, I did that once

This exact question was answered by one of the Mario creators actually.

GAME INFORMER: Time and again, Bowser kidnaps Peach. Why do Mario and Peach still race go-karts and play tennis with him?

SHIGERU MIYAMOTO: If you're familiar with things like Popeye and some of the old comic characters, you would oftentimes see this cast of characters that takes on different roles depending on the comic or cartoon. They might be businessman in one [cartoon] or a pirate in another. Depending on the story that was being told, they would change roles. So, to a certain degree, I look at our characters in a similar way and feel that they can take on different roles in different games. It's more like they're one big family, or maybe a troupe of actors.

Not really a fun lore answer but it is the "real" answer.

I like "kicked the bucket" or "gave up the the ghost". The latter I said recently and got mocked because they'd never heard it and apparently it's "not a real saying".

It is particularly difficult to filter politics based on images but when pieces of shit like you show up it helps to know who to block.

Maybe it died and froze over

Work, probably. Working from home is fun.

The bun fence works better at keeping them in than out apparently. Had to grab bun friend to free it. No buns were harmed.
