I work in IT. Average people tend to fall into one of two categories when presented with big scary warning messages.

Category 1: They freak out and immediately ask for help, and tend to be very skeptical of anything you tell them to do until the message goes away.
Category 2: They ignore the message and YOLO it like Linus did, then call for help hours or days later when something inevitably breaks.
It's rare for either group of people to read an comprehend the message in it's entirety.

Yeah, everything else was bad, but I think ultimately forgivable if they can tighten up their testing and QA process going forward. The Billet Labs thing is on a whole other level though. Like, how do you even fuck up that bad as a professional organization?

I agree that a large chunk of LMG content is vapid and surface level, and I was put off by them years ago because of it. Ironically though, I've found much of their newer output more appealing, not because of it's informational value, but because where else am I gonna see someone build a hacked together water loop with a car radiator?

There's gamecopyworld for game cracks, I'm not sure about general software though.

Completely agree. This post is an incredible example of of "Yes, and... ", but I would never want to see it anywhere near actual improv due to the racism.

It's been alive and well for quite some time now. I've been using it since 2018.

I think people pay for streaming services, which is what I assumed was meant by the original post.

I see several people have already mentioned Soulseek, the one other place I'd recommend is rutracker. You have to sign up, and it's in Russian, but it's probably the easiest place to grab entire discographies, and you can occasionally find things there that aren't on Soulseek.

Of course if you're really serious about music piracy, getting into the private tracker scene is the only way to go. redacted.ch specifically, is probably the most comprehensive music archive on the Internet right now.

Edit: I just realized no one has mentioned stream rippers yet. If what you want is on a steaming service like Deezer or Qobuz, and hasn't been shared elsewhere, there are tools to download it directly from the streaming service in full quality. Getting these set up can get a bit technical, and they often require a premium account, but there are Discord and Telegram bots that act as a fronted for these tools running on a server somewhere, which is the easiest way to use them.

Looks like it's limited to 2020 and newer actually, but I also don't think this existed when I got my TV in 2021.

I can't believe this fake-ass greentext is still getting reposted almost a decade later.

I have an autism diagnosis, and I'm pretty sure I have ADHD as well. Literally almost everything on that chart applies to me in a substantial capacity. I've never sought a clinical diagnosis as an adult, but if I were to I'm fairly certain I would get one.

The ADHD assessments I had in school were all the stare at a screen and hit a button when a dot appears kind. I think they were expecting me to get bored and mess up, but that's the kind of task I'm good a hyper-focusing on short periods of time. One time the assessor told me I couldn't have ADHD because my average reaction time was one of the best she'd ever seen. I think that type of assessment is fundamentally flawed.
