Our musical tastes seem almost perfectly aligned, so I'll try and throw out a few curve balls:

  1. AJR - pretty corny, but fuck if almost every song ain't a bop.
  2. The Districts - A Flourish and a Spoil
  3. Mansions - Dig Up the Dead
  4. Stop Light Observations - oRANGE.
  5. Disco Elysium Soundtrack has been my go to of late when I don't want lyrics cluttering my head.

I pay for a low tier and use uBlock to hide the buttons advertising higher tiers.

After trying Zorin and having a host of issues, I'm slowly replacing that dual boot option with Mint. Excited to give it a shot.

Visual designer for websites. There are many others like it. I used webflow for multiple projects and really enjoyed it. Haven't touched it for a couple years though. Once I ran out of commercial projects to use it for, I couldn't afford to keep it for personal use.

Dang. Is Proton the most reliable alternative when deGoogling, then? Skiff looked promising, aside from having kind of a dumb name.

Household income for me and my wife was around $150k and we got priced out of the city. A lot of Dashers take late night trains deep deep outside of the city, or they live with half a dozen other Dashers on alternating schedules, sharing beds.

If you're handing out free keys, I'd happily take one! Pretty smart to yoink em from scrapped PCs lol

Foundry is probably the closest I've seen, considering the non-premium modules are FOSS. Granted, I play Pathfinder (OGL/ORC license), not DnD, so I dunno if Wizards locks their stuff down more to promote using their own services.

Not naive at all! That is a genuinely good question with a rather dissatisfying answer: it depends. 'Most' is the tricky word there. It feels a bit like recycling, where you make it a habit but it isn't always easy to see the benefits of the effort, if that makes sense. The work is bound by the client and the code, and the client is usually mostly concerned with the budget. I always make an effort to push better materials and practices, while also going above and beyond on building envelope and HVAC systems to make the houses I design as efficient as possible, then pricing comes in and a lot of that is the first to go. I'm probably doing the most I can at my current job. I could probably do more at a more climate positive firm (not always easy depending on location). I might be able to do a lot more abandoning the mainstream practice of architecture altogether and finding a job that utilizes at least some of my existing skillset, but what that means isn't always clear. Hope that answered your question! Apologies for rambling
