I'm creating a wagon inventory sheet for my players, who are using slot-based inventory tracking. They want to modify the wagon to have solid walls and a roof, like a vardo. How many slots should I reduce the carrying capacity by? I think the 3d6DTL crew did something similar in their Dolmenwood campaign. Any suggestions on the cost of the modification? We're using OSE Advanced Fantasy. Thanks!

i know this is hella late, but personally, i'd probably have the modification impact the speed/daily travel distance, rather than the inventory capacity. it's heavier, but it's not like its getting much smaller, and the solid walls and roof actually provide more space to strap loot to. as for cost, maybe a 25% to 50% increase to the base price, so using the ose tables, an extra 50 to 100 gp.

I believe I ended up adding 100gp to the cost and 150 inventory slots capacity. They want a rolling wheelhouse, I just need to let them find a noble with an unattended stable now.

Good points on having extra storage space with the rigid structure! I reduced the slots slightly to accommodate for the weight and to keep the hex crawl rolls the same.

Whither Reddit? In the meantime, here’s a place to chat up old school revival (OSR) and new school revolution (NSR) style TTRPGs.
