Smells like they are trying to cut jobs without publicly announcing layoffs. Anywhere that treats its employees like this needs to be scarlet lettered, we need an open source list of shitty employers/shitty practices so they can start paying the meta tax. 😤

Dell didn't respond to specific questions Ars Technica sent about the changes but sent a statement saying: "In today’s global technology revolution, we believe in-person connections paired with a flexible approach are critical to drive innovation and value differentiation."

these corporate responses all read like entries to a competition to see who can use the floweriest words to say absolutely nothing. and this one is a pretty strong contender

Dell has always been the place to work that's guaranteed to kill your soul.

Dell sucks at everything. This work computer that I have is an absolute pile of shit. Yet it cost more than my high end gaming computer that absolutely smokes it in every way.

Their tech support is beyond bad

Everyone should have boycotted Dell back when they fired their stoner spokesperson because they found out he does actually smoke weed.

"Dude, you're getting a Dell." guy. Early 2000s Dell commercials. I guess some people liked them or were at least annoyed when Dell pulled the plug on them.

People were annoyed that they wanted the whole stoner/surfer attitude representing them, but then when they found out the guy actually smokes weed, they fired him.
