probably a good choice. I don't know how an apple car would fit into apples current stack, they'd have to figure out maintenance and everything

I didn't think I would have to live to see an era when people have lost faith that phone companies can make the next great automobile.

What's next? Car companies not making space craft? Office Software companies not building massive underwater data centers? Book stores not selling fresh produce?

These kids need to get off my lawn with their new fangled ideas about doing fewer things, but well.

Infinite projected growth driving unattainable stock value ratios was good enough for my father, it ought to be good enough for generation ZZ.

Edit: Back in my day, we didn't give up our dream of building an automobile. Sure, we weren't qualified. Sure, we didn't have anything like the right physical plant or supply chain. Sure, it drew resources away from what people actually wanted to buy from us. But did that stop us? No!

We solved all those problems and more with one word:

Enshitification!

Edit 2: Kids these days just can't be bothered to really dig in and truly enshitify their product to squeeze out a marginal temporary profit to invest in an ill conceived vanity project. You hate to see it.
