I'm like getting closer and closer to doing it. Windows just loves being absolute garbage.
I've had this happen once before with Windows 10. I gave it 3 hours, before I forcibly restarted. There didn't seem to be any problems. However it seemed a very dicey thing to do, and please don't hold me accountable if something bad happens, should you do the same.
Thanks Albert Wesker that seemed to fix it. God I hate Windows. Updating should not make the system have a heart attack.
Yeah, it's definitely an OS that I backup my data on at a more frequent cadence.
Its basically a window over your desktop you can press ctrl alt dlt I'm sure and it opens the task manager. Check if there's any processes doing anything and if not probably fine to reboot
Ctrl + Shift + Escape is the new task manager combo. Ctrl alt delete brings up a list of things that includes task manager but that might not work mid-update because it's the same window.
Depending on your use case, I would honestly just abandon windows. The only time I use windows now is on my work PC or when I’m programming my car.
