The entire Final Fantasy series is on sale on Steam now because FF7 Rebirth is coming out in three weeks.
Fingers crossed for FF9 Remake but I doubt this is at all related.

@Vincent392 There was a leak from Nvidias GeForce Now software that indicated a remake around 3 year ago (if I’m remember my dates correctly) about a year later Jeff Grubb seem to confirm it and then there’s been steady speculation and rumour since. No solid news though.
Discounts/sales are likely unrelated and probably more to do with capitalising on the release of VII Rebirth to gain some interest.
You’re also probably seeing some targeted marketing at work as well.
Oh hey, this is my Mastodon account, lol.
@helloharu @finalfantasy I've been taking, every. Single. Detail, into account.
It all ties in for me.
@Vincent392 @finalfantasy I think you may be looking too deep and making connections that aren’t there. XVI for example has references to almost every other mainline game, with some other having more than IX. Final Fantasy games always cross-reference each other, so it’s not an abnormal thing to see.
I actually ended up buying 15 because it was on sale for $9.99. Swore I wouldn’t buy it because they gave the PC the short end of the stick but couldn’t pass it up. It’s been interesting.
I'm my opinion. Worst game in the franchise. Maybe 13 gives it a run for it's money. At least 13 had core ff bits
Yeah I don’t quite know what I think of it yet. It’s like when you taste Diet Coke for the first time. You know it’s supposed to be Coke, but something is a bit off.
It's just very different. It takes a long time to get into it. I just really struggled to get through it. I just didn't care about any of the characters. I just felt it was a bit soulless. I enjoyed a few bits of it but honestly.
I will think long and hard before I buy another ff.
I’m curious how Devil May Fantasy will turn out, err I mean FF16
Reviews have been pretty good. Doesn't interest me in the slightest.
No party, no turn based. It's just a new chapter in FF. I'm assuming this will be the norm going forward.
A place to discuss all things Final Fantasy.
Praise be to Yevon
