I nicked my finger this morning when cutting bread, and I took this as a sign not to use a straight today. My AA blade is nearing 50 shaves, at which point I will ditch it – it clearly is not as good as it once was.

I've grown to like to softness and floppiness of the brush – when I want something like this, I can use the Zenith. Nice!

Have a good day!

I really thought today would be the day for this tub... but it looks to have one more shave left in it.

I'm very excited that Varen has been restocked by Stirling Soap Co. I ordered a trifecta this time, and got a refill soap since I have a recently emptied Varen tub ready to go. This will be my first Stirling aftershave which is unbelievable. How have I never used one of their aftershaves? I've only ever used their balm (which is good stuff) and the Witch Hazel & Aloe which is also really good.

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

I'm a big fan of this soap. It's pretty highly priced, but I like to think that is due to high cost of materials and a small target market willing to try a product made with those materials. For me, both the soap and splash do their jobs very well, are distinctive in the way they perform, and therefore top-tier. I happen to think that Dragonsbeard is a great scent as well.

It's pretty highly priced

It's still cheaper than AYLM's Babylon line 😱
