[–] joyjoy@lemm.ee 22 points 10 months ago

Similarly, I've known nurses who complain about reading/writing documentation on wounds in which pus is present.

[–] nonfuinoncuro@lemm.ee 14 points 10 months ago

the adjective form is purulent FYI

[–] Lileath@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Probably doesn't help that there are many people that write it as "puss" for some reason.

Easy mistake to make when you're thinking about the Pineapple Under the Sea Speedmapping Series all the time.

[–] UnRelatedBurner@sh.itjust.works 3 points 10 months ago

no need for the whole "pus" the "us" is more than enough.

[–] MotoAsh@lemmy.world 15 points 10 months ago

Not your fault they misspelled it. Next time they shouldn't be daydreaming about that ~~sweet~~ acidic citrussy while writing the menu.

[–] TheThunderWolf@thelemmy.club 6 points 10 months ago

everyone knows its "citrous"

[–] NoufauxRiche@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 10 months ago

Allow me to clarify: citrusy = hunger for citrus; citrussy = thirst for citrus
