I was getting a tour of the employees only section of a local government building and I looked down a hallway and found this. No cage. No room. Nothing more than air conditioning for controls. Just raw blinking life.

As soon as I read "you can try walk" my brain immediately visualized a spacetime stretch where I was walking towards the thing but somehow getting nowhere real slow.
They should put a motion sensor on it and play a recorded message whenever someone approches it.
