He wants to undermine it all, so that he can avoid investigations into the countless crimes of far greater magnitude that he has been committing

You gotta start calling them the trump files.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 22 points 2 days ago

Nothing could be more in character for Trump than trying to exonerate Nixon.

They'll spend time on this shit but do nothing on those Epstein files, I guess.

I hope the idiots that voted for donnie because they thought Democrats were running the pedophile ring are happy with themselves.

He needs to exhonerate Nixon so people will stop comparing his criminal ass to him.

[–] mokus@lemmy.blahaj.zone 28 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I think it’s even more child-brain than that. Jack smith was special counsel and he is trying to discredit the concept (of special counsel) itself.

It's not just him though, after Nixon, the partizans and their monied backers made sure to change the environment so if this scandal erupted again, their guy wouldn't have to resign.

One way they did that was by corrupting the media and throwing us into partisan echo chambers if not alternate realities. Think Roger Stone, he's a clown, but it's been a conscious ongoing effort.

Is this winning Maga? Fuck cost of living and gas prices. Fuck the job market. Fuck rent out of control and ICE kidnapping people. Nope this Nixon investigation is most important thing right now. Oh and building a ball room, and monuments to Trump. Fuck this time line.

Please, show us how nervous you are at facing consequences for your Heritage Foundation cuckory.

Trump thinks it's 1977 or something, next important investigation is "should ladies wear bras"

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Some of his supporters don't like the idea of women voting, having no-fault divorce, birth control, etc., so yeah, they may get around to that.

Finally, somebody taking on matters of pressing importance to help the American people and everybody else around the globe. Definitely not jingling keys off to the side with one tiny hand so we don't notice what he's doing with the other.

[–] Poppa_Mo@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

He's gotta pay Roger Stone back somehow.

It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Holy fuck y'all post Irishstar slop on Lemmy too? Fuck this website. Social media is dead.

His grok logs are the modern day Nixon phone recordings.

It makes sense that he wants to study what happened to Nixon. He knows Musk has him.

Ex-Pres. Richard M Nixon. Dearly departed 32 years, 5 months and 11 days. Funeral Officiated By Rev. Billy Graham 4/27/94. Should have passed over at that time. Statute of limitations on Nixon's crime(s) rendered moot when pardoned by President Gerald Ford on Sept. 8, 1974. There is no reason to re-investigate his crime(s), conviction or pardon. He and everything related to that which should be rendered to God and that which should be rendered to Caesar are kapoot.

Credit due: you could say it's a way of draining the swamp...
