Can't we have both?

The future centrists are willing to bring about in the name of compromise and avoiding seeming too far left:

Well now I’m curious too, but I’m also wondering why you were analyzing their feet

The hierarchy and militarism of the federation itself is a bit problematic. But yeah, the core framework of social anarchy is pretty legit.

Wow, I can see ankles!

The future? We are already living the second one.

That's Tasha Yar. It's a bit weirdly cropped, so I can see why you didn't recognise her.

[–] Manalith@midwest.social 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I would've thought they were talking about Wesley since he looks kinda weird in that image. Although Tasha is gone pre-beard, so it also makes sense that people wouldn't remember her all that much

I joke I've seen in the community of how the correlation of how good a season of TNG is based on whether or not Riker had a beard. Basically a lot of people think season 1 is pretty mid and season 2 comes in hot with Jonathan Frakes and his bearded face and suddenly it's better.

Isn’t Elon the one trying to explore space?

[–] SapphironZA@sh.itjust.works 1 points 13 hours ago

Nah, he was talking about Ketamine trips the whole time.

He just wants The Handmaid's Tale but in Space!

No he’s the one trying to breed male children.

And begged Epstein to go to his island.

“Girls ftw!”

Yes he's progressive, he wants a space harem

[–] Manalith@midwest.social 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I mean, same, I just would prefer all the ladies in my harem want to be there without coercion or force.

[–] Transform2942@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 day ago

Unfortunately for masculine fantasies everywhere, I do not think there is any possible harem situation that doesn't involve monumental power imbalances and daily enforcement by violence

Is he? We've been able to send probes and manned missions for decades and he's spent all his time blowing shit up on this planet. He's no Zephram Cochrane.

[–] fake@sh.itjust.works 2 points 15 hours ago

Not to mention doing his best to kessler syndrome us and destroying ground based astronomy

[–] Mubelotix@jlai.lu 1 points 2 days ago
