I tried watching him again but the lack of class consciousness and understanding of imperialism is insufferable now that I’ve read theory. Only some videos seem worth watching but it’s really not worth finding the corn kernels in the libshittery…
The way youtube makes everyone do the thumbnails for their videos alone makes me not watch youtube. I cannot stand the obnoxiousness of it all.
The worst part about YouTube is when a video is genuinely very well-researched but the title is like "Learning system rich people execute to be at the top."

Yeah, he made his channel towards the end of the youtube atheism wave, then he shifted to politics. Perhaps because the interest on atheist stuff was diminishing, or because he used to cover a lot of uber-christian political stuff and it just transitioned to general politics.
10:1 - easy dunks on social conservatism leading to chomsky-esque "critique" of US war machine at best, along with being aghast at the lack of and eroding socdem provisions without sufficient care for status as a settler. And then didn't evolve past that because the fruits of his Herrenvolk Democracy was too enticing to give up.

He's one of the very very few (or only?) of the so-called New Atheist movement in the late 2000s and early 2010s who didn't turn into a weirdo reactionary, and kept his channel name the same from that era. Unfortunately he's still quite libbed up, but he has his moments.
I have to give him and Breaking Points some credit in pushing me towards ML ideas during the 2020 Dem primary season.
Same, he did help me evolve politically early on. But once I moved past socdem, videos like his started looking very shallow and meaningless. Last I knew / can recall, he was one of the founders of the Justice Democrats, which was an attempt to elect some more "progressive" people into the democratic party and move it further left in a style similar to the Tea Party with the republican party? Justice Democrats did manage to elect a handful of reps to congress, but I don't think it went much of anywhere beyond that.
If his livelihood wasn't tied up in electoralism coverage, maybe he would have looked at the failures there and moved further left.
