I had to choose a new profile pic after I briefly changed my spinning hammer and sickle to something else, and then couldn't change back to it due to a change in a newer version of Lemmy that prevented my spinning hammer and sickle from being uploaded successfully to Hexbear's backend. 
I then decided that the evil grin face was an acceptable replacement.

Xenia first designed by Alan Mackey in 1996, was meant to be an alternative to Tux (who was also created by another artist outside the Linux foundation).
It was popularized again in 2019 in Twitter (not yet to be renamed to X dot com) where Xenia had her transition into the iconic transfem Linux/Free software enthusiast.
I like Xenia because she's my lucky charm against a lot of libertarian/ancap/capitalist chuds in the software/hacking space. Also trans.
