I hope he looks forward to them asking him the same question today, and tomorrow, and the next day......
and the apology is not going to matter at all, they'll just move the goalposts: "Why didn't you condemn him sooner?? Why do you still believe everything Hasan Piker says??? Why is Hasan Piker secretly your best friend???"
