1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of "discuss" rarely comply with this rule.

4. This is not a search engine
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.
There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.
6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.
7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

Edit: Yes, these are all the old parts, more or less arranged as they're installed. The disconnected wire is the one feeding spark to cylinder #3.
Every part you see here has today been replaced with new parts. Now it runs so much better!
Did you replace the dizzy rotor as well? That and plugs is the usual full tune up list.
I tried to replace the rotor before, but those 2 tiny bolts are rusted and seem to be stuck in place so tight that I was scared that I might shear the heads off those bolts, so I just left the original rotor alone. I did bend the center conductor leaf spring part up a little bit while I was in there though.
The plugs had already been replaced by the previous but now deceased owner sometime within the last couple years, and he didn't drive it very often, so I just figured I'd play the plugs by ear after everything else, and I'm glad I did, because 2 of those plugs are buried right behind the steering column axle and practically impossible to access.
Thankfully it runs fantastic now!
Yah, I'm looking at that rotor design on Rockauto and it would suck to break those off, you'd be replacing the base. Too bad, most rotors just pry up off the spindle, no tools required.
