Right-wingers, fash, nazis, nazbols etc. are not welcome! Right wing talking points (such as anti-woke, anti-queer, speaking favorably of far right figures, being anti-antifa etc.) will get you banned pretty quickly.
Please respect people's pronouns. Deliberately misgendering people repeatedly is going to lead you to have issues with the mods. Defending misgendering will get you banned.

On near-east topics: Nakba is an established fact. The (ongoing) Palestinian genocide is a fact. Israel commits crimes against Palestinians. No anti-Arab (such as Palestinians and Druze) sentiments allowed (it falls under racism anyways). In regards to Israel, do not dehumanize civilians. Saying shit like "there are no civilians in Israel/Palestine" will get you permabanned.
Be kind to one another. Try to deescalate any fights.

Yeah it is not clear yet. We thought it would go better for Tunesia after the Arab Spring until it turned into another dictatorship.

And that's without even going to Aljazeera. They're probably technically not "western media" but are a TV channel available on every TV in the west afaik and obviously broadcast in English.
At least on this topic, you can pretty reliably identify teenagers on the Internet because they think they are the first generation to be critical of Israel, and nobody in the west was talking about Israeli apartheid before 2024.
Funny that they're bringing up Palestine in that same comment, because they seem to understand nuance when it comes to Hamas, but never when it comes to Syria or Ukraine.
