I am genuinely on the fence about this one. On one hand, the reporter has a point; on the other hand, it invites discussion about third-places, the fact that driving itself can cause stress, etc.
What do y'all think? Remove it, or no?
A place to discuss problems of car centric infrastructure or how it hurts us all. Let's explore the bad world of Cars!
1. Be Civil
You may not agree on ideas, but please do not be needlessly rude or insulting to other people in this community.
2. No hate speech
Don't discriminate or disparage people on the basis of sex, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or sexuality.
3. Don't harass people
Don't follow people you disagree with into multiple threads or into PMs to insult, disparage, or otherwise attack them. And certainly don't doxx any non-public figures.
4. Stay on topic
This community is about cars, their externalities in society, car-dependency, and solutions to these.
5. No reposts

Moderator discretion will be used to judge reports with regard to the above rules.
In the absence of a flair system on lemmy yet, let’s try to make it easier to scan through posts by type in here by using tags:

I think it invites enough discussion to be left up, but it's definitely skirting the line.
This kind of stuff used to happen on reddit all the time. A post is funny, gets a bunch of upvotes but really shouldn't be posted to that community. If you allow it, you will get more and more of these until your community is garbage .
Is it a funny post? To me it is. Should all the posts on fuckcars be ragebait and whining? Probably not good in the long term.
Should you have zero tolerance like suggested? I'd say no.
Is moderating a thankless job? Yes. So do what you want...

Remove all low effort posts.
Remove all posts that are just screenshots of text without alt text
ok but please don't go to the few existing third places we do have just to scream
Cry in the shower like a grownup.
Screaming? Nah I just bottle it up
The bottle always pops eventually
On my bicycle on the stroad, of course.
Every-fucking-where.
In public, in the most visible place imaginable. Sometimes in the Frontier Dungeon found in most airports.
Two places:
1: band practice.
2: shows.
Somewhere where someone might hear it, but probably not. Fuck 'em anyway.
Grocery store
In the bathroom at restaurants.
the walk-in freezer with the door closed
That's for if you're an employee. Lol
Home office.
Inside.
This is honestly one of the few things I miss about driving, having a semi-private place to sing or scream or whatever. Although as a cyclist I now realize your car isn't your living room, drivers are still in public, I can see you pick your nose at the traffic light.
