I got an EV for 23k and it's probably five times more capable and 10 times cooler than this $75,000 abomination go figure.
Enough Musk Spam
For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.
No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.
Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.
Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.
Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.
Do they want to sell even fewer?
A lot of us can’t afford an AI trash bin that can drive itself out to the curb!
Trash bin that is also a fiery coffin. 🔥💥⚰️
"Save even more money by continuing to not buy a cybertruck."
Did any other company lower the prices for their cars in the same period of time?
Did any other company fall so thoroughly on their face with a useless, ugly, low quality, dangerous product to the point of being an international laughing stock?
In the automotive world...
The Ford Pinto is infamous for bursting into flames when rear-ended.
The DeLorean would be remembered as a Detroit executives coke-fueled fever nightmare if one didn't end up being the best movie prop of all time. Even their reputation for poor reliability makes it into the movie.
So ... we've got three cars since the '50s.
Somehow that's not what I think the person I was responding to meant by it.
Yes, 90% of companies do that. Tesla is being discussed more just because Musk-this/Musk-that celebrity shit
[citation needed]
Last car this hated was the Edsel lolol, literally the historic failure that was still referenced, up until the cyberstuck took over the crown for worst piece of shit ever.
And just like the Edsel there were die hard fanatics who claimed it was a "great car" with "the most advanced technology".
The difference is demand.
Guys I don't think I can afford a cybertruck. I guess I will keep driving my car that isn't hated by everyone.
