Finding a lot of conflicting information and trying to figure out what has worked best for people. I don't want to be locked into a proprietary system so figuring out what has worked best for others with home assistant.
What is everyone using these days for:
- Smart electrical panels / load centers
- Smart 15A and 20A breakers or circuit-level monitoring/control
- Smart switches and dimmers
- High-load circuits like HVAC, water heaters, appliances, etc.
- Energy monitoring
- Generator integration / automatic load shedding
I’ve looked at things like Savant, SPAN, Schneider/Square D, Leviton, Eaton, Lutron, and Ecoflow.
I'm currently thinking that it would be easiest to just retrofit my current panel with smart breakers from Levitron or Savant, thoughts? Or any lessons learned.
