A few people have been voting on everything they see in order to mark it as read and remove it from their feed. This doesn't work great now that there's a vote quota because after a while they use up their quota and can't treat their feed like an inbox anymore.

To accommodate this workflow I've added a new button which does the thing without also recording it as a vote. Also the teaser is instantly hidden which brings the teasers below that up into it's place - less scrolling!

This is only visible for people with the "Do not display posts with which I have already interacted (opened/upvoted/downvoted)" setting enabled.

Sounds cool. Can you also mark all posts as read, perhaps filtered by what is currently displayed or by date? goal: hide all old stuff and only see the latest stuff in an inbox style. (i am using lemmy with Voyager atm; wondering how it is with piefed).

Thanks rimu. I can go back to very rarely voting which is the way I prefer. It is nice the way it clears it out right away to. Its actually a bit better than the way I was working before.

You dudes remove stuff from the feed? I just keep scrolling. Seems kind of lazy, tbh.

Its huge for me because when I refresh it brings in new stuff but if there is none then anything I already read is gone.

Not a use-case I expected, for sure...
