For a while now, I have been planning to install a tablet on the living room wall to display a Home Assistant dashboard. Now I'm starting to wonder if it would really add a lot of value. All lights can also be switched on and off with physical buttons. Room thermostats allow controlling the temperature. For other things, my smartphone will be closer to me 99% of the time.

The tablet could be useful to show the feeds of two (so far) IP cameras and a family calendar, but otherwise...?

What killer applications do you have for permanently installed dashboards?
