Retrofuture Things
The future was yesterday.
Cool pics of cool retro-ish stuff. Moved here form !spacetech because more and more of my stuff wasn't space stuff.
If I know an image was made with AI, I'll label it as AI. Beyond that, I'm not gonna spend time investigating how every image was created. If it looks interesting, I post it. Whether it came from a camera, Photoshop, an artist, or AI isn't something I take too seriously.
If you know how an image was made, feel free to say so. If you don't know, don't worry about it.
Rule 1: No serial downvoting. Including just downvoting because you don't like AI. Let's keep Lemmy positive. Automod on duty.
Rule 2: Be civil. Play nice. And If you don't like it here, just find a different community.
Rule 3: AI is fine. If it looks cool, it is cool, babe! Label if ya want. Or not. I don't care.
Rule 4: Don't just call content “slop,” or use similar insults, unless you also contribute content yourself.
Rule 5: Weird that I have to make this an actual rule, but here we go: No advocating violence or murder.
If you don't like these rules, I suggest you create you own community with your own rules. Lemmy can always use more content!
As a Trekkie, watching through Space 1999 for the first time I was surprised by how much I liked the design and layout of Moonbase Alpha. The sets are even cheaper than Star Trek The Original Series, but the way everything is organized and the overall aesthetic is excellent and stood the test of time.
I love the look and feel of Space: 1999. It's one of my fave designs ever. I just wish the show's pace and stories were better. It had some great ideas, but it's definitely tough for me to sit through. But the clothes, tech, and everything was top notch!
If I were a billionaire, I'd nerd out and design my entire house to replicate the exact look and feel of everything to match the show. The wall panels, the lighting, all of it.
Heh, “moobase”
Cows need good design too!
