He faces up to 12 years in prison.

Damn! That is nowhere near enough for this traitor

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That's more than they give traitors here in America.

Here we seek out the worst of them to make them president.

[–] picklerick@lemmy.ml -5 points 2 days ago (6 children)

Shit like this makes me want to set up my own server because fuck, I just signed up on the original default domain and these Putin/Xi apologists embarrass me

[–] MrRandom@lemmy.zip 18 points 2 days ago

found the NPC

Look, I'm really sorry to have to break it to you, but ...

Fuck Putin.

Fuck Putin to the moon.

Putin is a cunt.

And, just to reiterate, fuck Putin.

[–] Worstdriver@lemmy.world 30 points 2 days ago

Let me put this in a way you can understand:

Death to Putin.

Death to his generals, his officials, his administrators, and his bureaucrats.

Death to every member of the Russian military on Ukrainian soil.

Russia will never know peace until it leaves Ukraine in peace, for even if Russia were to conquer the land, still would the people fight on.

[–] Scipitie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 54 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I'm curious: what do you mean? Starlink is internationally blacklisted for use in Russia and a citizen of an attacked nation helped circumvent this ban.

Ukraine caught their citizen and prosecuted under local law.

How can a nation "be in the right" or not in such a case, even leaving the international situation aside?

[–] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

If you bootlick for putin then just move there.

[–] picklerick@lemmy.ml -1 points 2 days ago (4 children)

hopefully he makes it through illegal nazi detainment

[–] deft@lemmy.wtf 2 points 1 day ago

This always confused me. What makes you think Ukraine are nazis or any more Nazi than Russia? Is Russia some massively progressive nation? They cool to black people, gays and Jews? Not really lol

[–] Lag@piefed.world 31 points 2 days ago

When Russia projects

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Hopefully you stop making it look as if shitlibs are right about horseshoe theory by sucking Putin's fascist cock

[–] Grainne@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Can we cool it with the homophobic language. Blowjobs aren't inherently a bad thing and we shouldn't push the idea that giving them means you're subservient. There's other ways to abuse these pieces of shit

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Interpreting the mere mention of fellatio in a criticism as inherently homophobic is a YOU problem.

It's not homophobic to accuse someone whose gender you don't know of providing sexual pleasure to awful people as an insult.

For the record, I'm very much pro-blowjob between consenting adults of any gender identity and sexual preference, but equally against fascists receiving pleasure of any kind.

[–] Grainne@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You are using blowjobs to denigrate a person and contributing to a long history of homophobia in regard to hierarchical roles of people who give oral or receive anal as subservient lesser people.

It is 100% homophobic to use sucking dick as an insult, there is no positive connotation behind your comment. You were not using male oral sex as a positive statement, the goal was to shame someone for it.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 2 days ago

You are using blowjobs to denigrate a person

Only in the sense of giving pleasure to someone who deserves none AKA caping for a dictator.

I already explained this, so please put away your preconceived notions that expressions can only be interpreted in the way you say they should.

contributing to a long history of homophobia in regard to hierarchical roles of people who give oral or receive anal as subservient lesser people.

Only in the case of people like yourself who can't divorce meaning from metaphor.

It is 100% homophobic to use sucking dick as an insult

Nope. Stop repeating your false preconception and READ my explanation from before ffs!

there is no positive connotation behind your comment.

Again, giving pleasure or advantage to those who don't deserve it is a negative thing. Context matters.

the goal was to shame someone for it.

No, the goal was clearly to shame someone for glorifying the war crimes of a fascist dictator.

I already explained that I don't consider oral sex between consenting adults in any way shameful regardless of whether you're receiving or giving.

Read the original comment and my clarification again. The intention and context is 100% free from homophobia, just like I wouldn't be shaming sartorial choices if I had chosen the milder "caping for Putin".

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's about feeling the need to give pleasure to the asshole. I don't care if you're gay. That's fine. I care if the people you want to please are murderous authoritarian dictators. If you think that's homophobic, then that's implying you think being gay makes you love dictators, which would be an odd belief to hold.

If you want to suck a morally upstanding person's cock, that's a good thing.

If you want to suck an evil person's cock, that's a bad thing.

It isn't the cocksucking that's at issue.

[–] Grainne@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It is 100 percent the cocksucking that is the issue. Which is exactly why I am bringing this up.

Insult people without using one of the most common homophobic insults. This is not up for discussion.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I like that you think you can just dictate something and say it's not up for discussion while it is literally being discussed, and there are valid responses. No, you don't get to decide this. You are not the arbiter of language, and you don't get to decide what other people perceive. It's fine to ask nicely, but not in the manner you're doing. You can say "I think [x], so please stop" but that's not what you're doing. You're trying to tell us what is meant.

While we're at it, aren't asshole, pussy, dick, and just about every other insult not allowed too? Are we just not allowed to speak, because language has old connotations built into it? Are you going to start telling people that gendered romantic languages are wrong? What about something like gentlemen, which originally meant someone from a good family?

No, trying to fix language like this is pretty ridiculous. They didn't say anything homophobic. Just because you read something into it doesn't mean everyone else has to change. I think most people wouldn't think the comment above is saying the person is bad because they're subservient. It's clear that it's bad because of the person they're trying to please.

[–] Grainne@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I’m not going to spend my time arguing with a lib about this. I suggest you go interact with more queer communities and get their view on this.

I’ve explained that such language is not welcome here and if I see it again I will remove it.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I’m not going to spend my time arguing with a lib about this.

Dude, view my comment history. Cut your bullshit. (Is this not an allowed phrase, because a cow's shit isn't bad, so it must be misandrist?) You don't get to decide whatever you want, like me being a "lib" because I don't agree with your authoritarian view on language, and force everyone else to agree. You could try explaining why you don't like something, and try to convince others, instead of just telling people it is whatever you think.

I am not the one who used this language though. I purely explained that it doesn't mean what you want just because you said so. If you want to remove it, you should put it in the rules. Again, so much language needs to be removed if you start going this route. I don't think you want to spend all your time on this.

nah, put it in the rules. let's let the idiot mod spend all their time on this. i know i found a new cocksucking hobby

[–] LostCarcosan@lemmy.today 3 points 2 days ago

I interact almost exclusively with queer community. Not a single person I've interacted with has ever had a problem with using cocksucking as an insult and many of them have used such a phrase themselves

[–] diffaldo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 days ago

That is impossible because they cant stop themselves from doing that.

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago
