It does depend on the questions and the answers.

I mean, I could ask something like "how was it to be a prophet in Jerusalem around the year 33?" and that would be a good history question. But if I asked how Noah built the ark, I could also ask were leprechauns get the gold for their pots....

As long as it pertains to these topics as literature or how the belief in them affected historical events.

For example, Iulius Gaius Caesar using his clan name - Iulius - to assert that he was a descendant of Venus.

Or how did their religious beliefs affect the defenders of Masada in the first century CE.

I'd think there's a point to it, myths and legends are still part of history.

I just got 220 comic books from India covering a bunch of Indian folklore I was completely unfamiliar with...
