Yep, they experience no time or space as they move at light speed :)
Of course they experience nothing anyway because they aren't alive, but for even more existential dread, realize that most photons aren't observed by even cows.

There are only about half a dozen stars twenty light years from here, and not all of them are visible to the naked eye. I wonder if the artist and one in mind.
