A few days ago I received my official certificate of legal name change and can now begin using my chosen name everywhere! And so the overwhelming mountain of admin work begins, but I'm actually happy doing it. A younger version of myself could never have imagined feeling any excitement towards scanning documents, making phone calls, and signing forms. Yet here I am in a euphoria-powered flurry of productivity.

Happy for you!!! I relate, the joy of doing all the admin work following the name change was surreal. Never thought I would be excited for menial tasks like that.

It's a long process. I'm still changing may name in various places after 7 months. The deed and title for my house are going to be super expensive to do it seems, so I haven't touch that one. But I'm so happy every time I see it in writing.
