I love this game, only discovered it in the early 2000's and played it on emulator. The genesis version is my favourite and its very deep and complex. I don't think I've ever gotten very far with it, but I love the concept.

It was\is really complex, the original had no "do over" unless you copied the floppy disk and played the copy.

Sega genesis game, but it was also on PC I think. Really good.
I played Starflight a lot on Commodore 64. Never got too far but I always enjoyed exploring. Game was crazy ahead of its time.
the Genesis/Megadrive version is way better overall tho, that's my go-to for emulating the game
