I mean, those would definitely be the first pool of people who could save up 5% of be able to take advantage of the program - and it’s not like they’re hoarding housing.. it’s literally their first home.

Why does this just feel like a way for the Capitalist class to try and divide the working classes to bicker amongst themselves?

Its likely people who have just broken into those higher paying roles and are leaping at their very first chance to own a home.

Though I had managed to save a larger deposit it is pretty much how it went for me.

This scheme wasn't designed to help people into homes, it's designed to raise house prices. What would actually help would be public housing to compete against the privatised system, housing has become. But that won't happen while property investors line Parliament.
