However, public buildings in NSW, South Australia, the ACT, and Tasmania — including the Sydney Opera House and Canberra's Parliament House — won't be taking part.
At least there's that. We already had the Sydney Opera House and Canberra's Parliament House both lit up in blue and white for the Zionist Regime in 2023.

Why? Because we're a bunch of patsies. That's why.
Illuminating landmarks for foreign anniversaries isn't new in Australia.
The Sydney Opera House has been lit up for St Patrick's Day, for the 75th anniversary of India's independence, and in solidarity colours for Ukraine and Israel. Landmarks in Brisbane and Perth were lit up for Bolivia's bicentenary last year.
The Opera House and Canberra's Parliament House were also illuminated in the US colours in 2021 for the 70th anniversary of the ANZUS alliance.
Why? I would understand if it was the embassies and consulates themselves, or buildings that had some special connection to the foreign country, but just lighting up any old public building for something that has literally nothing to do with Australia is fucking weird.

I'm ambivalent. The friendship between Australia and USA surpasses the present government. The friendship has been stretched, and I think support for the current US presidency in Australia would struggle to get into double-digits. But it isn't gone, yet.
I am not against this support of the nation of USA. I still hold hope that their people will begin the process of repairing the damage their government has wrought - starting with their mid-term elections later this year. I hope further that they will seriously set about mending fences with the inauguration of a new president. Because I hold that hope, I am not against this show of support to the nation.
That hope will be extinguished however if they double-down and keep the crazies in power.
