I saw some of these in person. There are also phalluses/penises everywhere. Every street corner, sidewalks, random walls. Apparently they direct you to the brothels.

Generally, an artifact should be 100+ years old, but this is a flexible requirement if you find something rare and suitably linked to an era of history, not a strict rule. Anything over 100 is fair game regardless of rarity.

Some of the penises did point towards the brothels, but many were just around on their own merits! The penis was considered a symbol of general good luck, fertility (of both kinds), and a ward against evil!
Yeah for sure. I think it was just particularly interesting waking around Pompeii and seeing them like street signs.
The past is a funny place!
For a microsecond I wondered how you could see these in person if you weren't alive 2000 years ago. It's been a long day...
