Life is a spectrum, including (but not limited to) death.

Uhm. According to Madonna, life is a mystery. 😉

Cup is half full.

Exactly. We're all slowly dying right now. Your life is killing you

Yes, but up to about 23, you're growing and maturing. You peak then, and after that then you're really just dying slowly.

Also related: our brains slow down as we age so we perceive time as going faster (like for kids, the summer is forever, for old people, the days flash by). So from a human's perspective, for an average lifespan, we perceive half way about at 23. So it you're over 23, from your perspective, you're over half way through your time.

That "peak" is a subjective value judgment weighing different parts of the spectrum in specific ways. The peak at 23 specifically refers to a weighing that attempts to quantify US military personnel in the 1940s' expected productivity in front-line combat roles.

Damn, aren't I lucky to be 23. So does it mean my body will only deteriorate from now on?

Yup. Enjoy it while you can.

What would you say I should specifically appreciate while I can? It's kinda hard when you don't know what's going to go.
