Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

What free tools are available to mass delete my Reddit comments and posts? (piefed.ca)

I'm looking for a free tool that can delete my comments and posts only from specific subreddits. I've tried the following tools, but none were able to properly finish the task:

Power Delete Suite

  • Generally works, but I think it can't see your entire Reddit history. After deleting a few hundred comments and posts, it stops deleting.
  • I tried running it again, and it deletes another hundred or so. And then a couple more until it completely stops.

ereddicator

  • Killed by Reddit's recent API changes (disabled users' ability to create new API keys)

shreddit

  • Killed by Reddit's recent API changes (disabled users' ability to create new API keys)

Redact.dev

  • Doesn't delete comments/posts. It only edits them.
  • Costs money.

Does anyone here have any other suggestions? Or alternatively, does anyone know how to retrieve the Client Secret code from an existing Reddit application? I have an existing Reddit application setup on Reddit, but don't have the Client Secret.

Yeah, I can't speak for other tools, but I used PDS for almost as long as it's existed. PDS could only ever see the last 1000 posts and 1000 comments that you've made in your account history, so that's all it could delete. Apparently it was a long-standing limitation on reddit's end. So best practice was always to run it every couple months depending on your activity. But when the API fiasco happened a lot of people flocked to these tools without knowing about the limitation. Which understandably caused a lot of confusion when people googled their username and found a bunch of comments and posts that PDS or other tools were unable to find.

Edit: I'm speaking from memory, based on what j0be, the guy who wrote the script, had said years ago. So my numbers might be off, but there was a limit to what PDS could access. Sorry I couldn't answer your question OP, but figured I could at least confirm your suspicion.
