listen I'm just gonna put this out there. i still am using a oneplus 8t and it is fantastic and I have zero plans of upgrading anytime soon. it runs everything I need it to with zero hiccups. even emulators run beautifully.

i highly recommend looking at older models as they're extremely feature rich and much less expensive than these new flagships they keep putting out.

oneplus was meant to be one of the "flagship killer" type companies and now its just as annoying and pricey as the rest. I'd suggest looking at older models if you're dead set on Oneplus, or I'd suggest something like fairphone.

I bought a second hand one from 2021 with jack connector, micro SD support and dozens of custom ROMs. New phones aren't worth it anymore.

Forget about unlocking the bootloader in these recent models

I'd be more impressed if it were running linux or some degoogled ROM.

I might be interested if they hadn't ditched the open platform aspect of their phones. Now they're hardly any different from any of the other brands.
